back to the old school

This class is going back to the old school! A 90's inspired hi-lo aerobic dance class. Easy to follow routines which you'll learn, layer and repeat.

drum ‘n’ blitz

Drum N Blitz is a fast paced class based around Martial Arts moves and set to Drum N Bass music. It’s high energy, you’ll work every inch, any frustrations you have will be blasted away through our punch bags. After a DNB class you will feel awesome.

zumba

ZUMBA® is a class with high and low intensity dance routines based around Latin moves such as Salsa and Mambo. Its a dance party set to some of the hottest Latin beats, you’ll love it.

beatz® fitness

Multi-genre dance fitness workouts to choreographed routines. Suitable for everyone, Beatz is choreographed across a wide range of music genres, meaning there really is something for all tastes.

Low impact and easy-to-follow Latin inspired dance routines.

zumba gold

ZUMBA GOLD® is a modified Zumba® class that recreates the original moves you love at a lower-intensity. It’s the same Zumba dance party, but the class is based on easy-to-follow Zumba® choreography whilst still incorporating Latin steps. Just as much fun as ZUMBA®

clubbercise

Clubbercise® classes are taught in a darkened room with disco lights and set to a soundtrack of old and new club hits. This high energy class is a fusion of dance, toning and combat moves and you’ll feel like you’ve had a night out raving whilst behaving!!

move and groove

A blend of cardio dance and toning with light weights. Everything you need in one hour!

 

yoga

Build strength, mobility and mindfulness through yoga based classes. Classes are suitable for all abilities with adjustments available for beginners.

veraflow

VeraFlow is a dance based stretch class with some relaxation. Dance and stretch to find your true flow. You'll leave feeling like you've had a full body massage, your muscles feeling strengthened yet relaxed and loose. Set to beautiful music and loved by everyone.

yoga / chair yoga

Yoga is an ancient form of exercise used to boost physical and mental wellbeing. Yoga is based on a series of poses designed to increase and improve strength, flexibility and breathing. Incorporating a chair in yoga can promote comfort and aids balance whilst feeling safer and supported.

strength training

Getting stronger and building muscle benefits the body in so many ways. Stronger joints means less injuries and the benefits of toning can help give the confidence boost you need.

sunrise fitness club

Monday’s - Kettlebells, this is a lower impact cardio workout that helps improve your strength, endurance, coordination and mobility.

Wednesday’s - Functional fitness at it’s best, using bodyweight exercises to tone and strengthen the total body.

Thursday’s - Step conditioning, a medium impact aerobic workout.

Total body conditioning is a series of exercises using equipment to tone and strengthen the body.

strong girls club

Adding strength into your fitness regime is a great way to improve your posture, help you look after your bones and improve your fitness quickly. In this class we will be mixing it up with different equipment and different workout styles each week including circuits, interval training and more.

low impact

Maybe you’re at the beginning of your fitness journey or just prefer classes with a slightly slower pace, then low impact is designed for you.

easy beat

Easy Beat is a low impact dance class set to some classic tunes. Routines are easy to follow but will work your body as well as your brain. There is short toning section to finish. This class will definitely bring some happiness into your day!

seats and beats

A gentle seated class, set to some lovely music. Perfect to enjoy some low impact, comfortable dance, stretch and movement. Contact the Dracaena Centre to book your spot.

pilates

Pilates is a form of exercise that focuses on balance, posture, strength and flexibility. It is suitable for everyone of all ages and fitness levels. You don't need to have done any Pilates before to join our classes.

barre

Barre uses ballet inspired moves for a full body strengthening and toning workout. With the use of a chair or bar to help balance and support you whilst moving through all the exercises.

pole fitness

Try something different with pole fitness. Great for improving your strength and flexibility and just a bit of fun!

cheerleading

Cheerleading is an amazing sport for children, teaching team work, building confidence and strength and learning a multitude of disciplines, like dance, gymnastics, stunts and jumps, choreographed together.

Our cheerleading classes are split into two types; competitive cheerleading and recreational cheerleading, both equally as fun as each other. Both require team spirit and commitment to the team.

Our competitive team practise weekly in preparation for south-west based cheerleading competitions.

The Supernovas - Level 1 suitable for ages 8yrs - 15yrs.

The Constellations - Level 1 suitable for ages 7yrs - 11yrs.

A tryout and full commitment is required for these teams.

Tumbling

In order to progress your tumbling in cheerleading, we have a dedicated tumbling session to improve advanced skills like walkovers, handsprings, tucks and basic skills like rolls and cartwheels.

Boogie Bambinos

If your child loves story time, they will love Boogie Bambinos. Singing, games and exploring stories through dance. Learning through play, movement and music together with a different story book theme every week.

Suitable for ages 0yrs - 4yrs, and children must be accompanied by an adult.

first steps tap & jazz

First Steps Tap and Jazz is a perfect beginner dance class for children who have never experienced these styles of dance. The class consists of 15 minutes of each style of dance with set exercises that will be danced weekly. The class is suitable for a wide variety of ages. Children from 3+ are welcome to come accompanied by an adult. Ages 6 and over are welcome to come without a parent present. Children will need jazz and tap shoes to attend these classes and if they are 5+ there are welcome to take their exam in the autumn term. The syllabus includes fun modern music, the dances are dynamic and funky. First steps explores the styles of tap and jazz in new fun ways, expect cowboy dancing, disco music and lots more!
