Heart Therapy & Wellbeing
Ayla Beauty at Heart Therapy
I have been in the beauty industry for five years and have qualifications in level 2 and 3 beauty therapy, level 3 nail services as well as experience as a senior therapist and salon manager. Prior to taking the plunge and starting my own business I trained with and worked for Truro College, spending my last year with them as a salon manager at their commercial salon, training new apprentices. Over the past five years I have developed my beauty therapy skills and customer service, as my priority is for clients new or old to never feel intimidated within the salon environment.
The salon provides a warm, relaxed and friendly atmosphere with professional high quality treatments. The salon offers a wide range of treatments at affordable prices, a few of the most popular being, facials, manicures and pedicures, OPI gel polish, waxing, eyelash and eyebrows and massage.

"With short notice Sarah managed to fit us both in for a full head of foils and cut! We had great chats alongside amazing hair transformations, 2 days on we're are both still chuffed with them as well as having healthy looking/feeling locks! Thank you so much Sarah from both of us! Would recommend you to anyone!"
"Sarah has done my hair before today and did a fantastic job then. Today she managed to tame my hair again even though it didn't want to be tamed. Lovely friendly service from a lovely lady."

Stephanie Jackson - Mindfulness Courses
Mindfulness is developed by purposefully paying attention in a non-judgmental way to your experience of your body, mind and the world around you. Mindfulness is about being focused and aware, living in the present, rather than dwelling in the past or anticipating the future.
Staying in touch with the present in this way, from one moment to the next, may lead you to experience yourself differently, perhaps feeling less stuck, or recognising more strength, balance and confidence in yourself. Most people completing the programme report lasting physical and psychological benefits including:
- Greater self-confidence and more acceptance of life as it is
- An increased ability to cope effectively with both short and long-term stressful situations
- An increased ability to relax and experience calm
- More energy, enthusiasm and appreciation for life
Held at the Embrace Dance Fitness in Penryn, they will run from 1:15-3:15pm on Mondays. The cost is £200, this includes 8 x 2 hour sessions, course materials and one day retreat.
Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course:
Monday January 8,15,22, 29, February 5, 19, 26, March 5. Day retreat: Sunday February 25th 10am - 4pm
We all experience difficulty in our lives and the course can teach skills to help manage difficulty. Some participants come to the course because of a specific physical or mental health problem; others come to help themselves with more general stresses. Sometimes people want to do the course for professional reasons as first step towards learning to use the approach to help others.
Stephanie Jackson is a GP and is in the final stages of completing a Masters in Teaching Mindfulness at Bangor University. She has already received her Certificate of Teaching Competency from Bangor University.
